Introducing the 2010 Rodeo Queens...

Senior--Brett

Junior--Lexi

Pee Wee--Tia

Lil Miss--Cassidy

Leadline--Alexis

Becoming a TLAFA rodeo queen takes dedication and hard work.  Contestants must first earn hours to enter the contest.  Those who qualify to enter must be interviewed by the judges.  The interview is how the judges learn what level of knowledge each girl has about horses and riding. They also judge on personality and best dressed.  The girls also compete for horsemanship.  The best all around rider wins this part of the competition.  In the end, points are added up and the contestant with the most overall points in each division wins the competition.
Throughout the year, the queens and potential contestants for the current year put forth a lot of effort for fundraising.  The money earned is used to purchase prizes for the next winners.  In the past, TLAFA had given many wonderful prizes to its queens contestants including saddles, tack, buckles, jewelry, and much more.
Being a TLAFA Rodeo Queen is a privilege. The queens represent our organization. They are presented at each rodeo where they ride a pattern. The queens also ride in a Mardi Gras parade in Houma.
